North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un Sends Warm Wishes to Vietnam’s New President

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message to Vietnam’s President Luong Cuong.

According to a report from Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday, Kim expressed ardent congratulations on Cuong’s election as President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He said that his election reflects the high trust and expectations of the Vietnamese Communist Party and the entire Vietnamese people.

Following this, Kim expressed his ensuring that this opportunity will strengthen and develop the bilateral traditional friendly cooperative relationship in line with the common socialist cause and the interests of both nations’ peoples.

The Vietnamese National Assembly unanimously elected Cuong, a general and member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as the new president with the unanimity support of 440 attending members.
