Kim Jong Un Sends ‘Thank You’ Gifts to North Korean Flood Recovery Workers

On Wednesday, Rodong Sinmun reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent commemorative gifts to construction workers who were involved in flood recovery efforts in North Pyongan Province.

The newspaper delivered that a ceremony to present gifts from Kim took place on Monday and Tuesday for the workers engaged in recovery operations in the province.

This ceremony’s attendees included Jo Yong Won, Ri Il Hwan, and Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea Park Tae Seong, along with North Pyongan Province party and government representatives, commanders from the disaster recovery headquarters, and construction workers.

During the event, speakers emphasized the critical importance of the recovery efforts in Sinuiju and Uiju County, describing them as pivotal in successfully concluding the major disaster recovery operation.

They urged the workers to showcase the resilience and superiority of socialism to the world once again by constructing new homes, new villages, and permanent flood barriers on the land that was ravaged by the disaster.

The newspaper reported that Kim’s gifts were presented amid enthusiastic applause from the participants, followed by discussions on resolutions and commitments.
