Apple Set to Launch M4 MacBook Pro in Q4 2024, Analysts Confirm

wikitree Views

Apple is expected to launch the M4 MacBook Pro in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The Mac Observer

IT media outlet MacRumors, citing analyst Ross Young, reported on the 18th that “panel shipments for new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are set to begin in the third quarter of 2024.”

If the shipments begin as expected, these products will likely be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024.

According to the report, Apple has started equipping the recently launched M4 iPad Pro and plans to introduce the M4 chip to the MacBook Pro and Mac Min with the M4 chipset.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman also predicted the launch of a new MacBook Pro and Mac Mini lineup this year.

According to Gurman, the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro will utilize the M4 chip, while the higher-end 14 and 16-inch models will have the improved M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. The Mac Mini is expected to feature the M4 and M4 Pro chips. However, the MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro models won’t use M4 chip updates until next year.

The new M4 chip revealed last month was manufactured using a 3-nanometer process technology, a step up from the existing M3 chip.

According to initial benchmark tests, the M4 chip’s multi-core performance improved 25 percent compared to the M3. The M4 Pro and M4 Max chips are expected to have similar performance.

However, the new MacBook Pro models are not expected to have any major feature updates other than the M4 chip.

Although Apple is developing OLED display technology, MacBook Pro with an OLED display will not hit the market before 2026. Online users expressed excitement about the launch of new products with advanced chipsets.
