Cadillac Sollei Convertible: A $300K Dream Car for the Eco-Conscious!

globalautonews Views

Cadillac unveiled the luxury convertible concept Sollei. It is an electric convertible in the same class as the Cadillac brand’s most expensive Celestiq. The vehicle is based on the group’s Ultium platform. The vehicle’s name, Sollei, combines “Solei,” meaning sun, with “leisure,” meaning vacation.

Cadillac’s design language, which focuses on classic and straight lines, is used in the case of the body lines. The belt line around the open interior of the 2+2-seater is horizontal. The windshield is set very flat and is built into an aluminum frame. On the side, it features a very long door. As for the handle, it was treated inconspicuously for a clean profile line. As for the wheel arches, there are 23-inch light alloy rims. The foldable fabric top is stored in a fixed cover behind the rear seat passengers.

For the entire front part, it features a Celestiq motif. The Manila Cream color used on Cadillac in 1957 and 1958 is used for the exterior.

In the interior, the cockpit’s atmosphere is characterized by a horizontal dashboard and a 55-inch wide screen extending from A-pillar to A-pillar. The large touchscreen in the center console complements the infotainment and operating package with rotary push controls.

Bio-based materials from mushroom root structures complement open wood veneers in various natural colors and grain variations, creating a sustainable and luxurious atmosphere. Most surfaces are covered with the finest Nappa leather. The seats feature ventilation, quilting, and embroidery. At the bottom, we can see a mat made of special fabric.

LED ambient lighting with various zones and 126 color options can create a variety of atmospheres. Like the Cadillac Celestiq, customization orders are also possible. The selling price is expected to be similar to that of the Celestiq, which costs over $300,000.
