A disruption occurred in Microsoft 365’s Outlook and Teams services, which thousands of users worldwide rely on.

On Monday, Microsoft acknowledged a problem affecting users accessing features in Exchange Online or the Microsoft Teams calendar.

DownDetector said thousands of outage reports came in from Microsoft 365 users, especially those using Outlook.

Some users reported difficulties checking emails, loading calendars, and opening other Microsoft 365 applications like PowerPoint.

While Microsoft quickly deployed a fix, it acknowledged that recovery was slower than anticipated, affecting approximately 98% of the troubled environments. The company wrote on social media, acknowledging delays and assuring users that immediate action was being taken.

Microsoft stated, “We understand the significant impact this has on your businesses and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. “

Microsoft’s stock price remained stable at $418.79.
