Honda has unveiled the 2026 Passport, a mid-size SUV model.

Honda emphasized that the new Passport is a model that harmonizes the city and nature and will set a new standard in the next-generation SUV market.

A Robust Design with Masculine Appeal

The new Passport’s design centers around a rugged, off-road-oriented concept. The front now sports a more aggressive style, with a larger grille and bold LED headlamps that give it a sportier, more commanding presence. The side features wider wheel arches and strong character lines, emphasizing its off-road capabilities. The rear maintains a simple yet sturdy design, completing the vehicle’s strong and functional look.

Honda offers three trim configurations: RTL, Trail Sports, and Trail Sports Elite. The Trail Sports trim stands out with a range of off-road enhancements. These include increased ground clearance achieved through suspension tuning, a reinforced front-wheel drive system, and a steel underbody skid plate, all enhancing the vehicle’s off-road performance.

Powerful Performance with a V6 Engine and Advanced AWD System

Under the hood, the 2026 Passport is powered by Honda’s latest 3.5L V6 engine, delivering 285 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth acceleration while maintaining fuel efficiency. The Passport offers stable performance off-road and at high speeds, making it versatile for various driving conditions.

The second-generation i-VTM4 electronic four-wheel drive system is also featured. Compared to the previous model, it improves torque handling ability by 40% and responsiveness by 30%. This system independently distributes torque to each wheel, maximizing grip on rough terrain, steep slopes, or slippery roads.

Trail Watch Camera and Enhanced Safety Features

The Trail Sports Elite trim comes equipped with Honda’s Trail Watch camera system, which uses four external cameras to provide a 360-degree view of the vehicle. This feature minimizes blind spots and enhances the driver’s visibility when navigating challenging off-road environments.

Honda has designed the new Passport to appeal to off-road enthusiasts while offering a comfortable driving experience in urban environments. With full-scale sales now underway, the Passport is expected to substantially impact the North American market, meeting the needs of consumers who seek rugged performance and everyday usability.
