Airi Hirase’s $170,000 Transformation: 25 Surgeries and Counting

Daniel Kim Views

In a striking tale of transformation and resilience, 27-year-old Japanese influencer Airi Hirase has garnered significant attention after undergoing 25 plastic surgeries, investing about 24 million yen (US$170,000) on enhancements to her eyes, forehead, nose, chin, and breasts.

Airi’s journey began in childhood, marred by relentless bullying and harsh comments about her appearance. Friends often teased her, saying she resembled a boy, and even her mother made cutting remarks, recalling, “You remind me of your divorced father,” when Airi was just 4 or 5 years old.

Determined to reshape her image, Airi began working multiple part-time jobs at 16 to fund her surgeries. By 19, she had her first eye operation, a pivotal moment that bolstered her confidence and set her on a path to undergo additional procedures totaling approximately 24 million yen.

Now, Airi shares her plastic surgery journey and beauty tips as a successful influencer while also serving as the CEO of a company that manages and supports fellow influencers. Reflecting on her past, Airi shared, “If my mother hadn’t abused me, I wouldn’t have undergone plastic surgery. To love yourself, you must accept yourself as you are.”
