maxmovie Views

It’s time to fall for the mysterious charm of actor Soo Hyun.

Soo Hyun plays the role of Japanese noblewoman Maeda Yukiko, who rules over the Gyeongseong area, in the Netflix original series “Gyeongseong Creature” (written by Kang Eun-kyung, directed by Jeong Dong-yoon) which is set to be released on the afternoon of the 22nd.

Maeda who has potent power and wealth in Gyeongseong is a character who sponsors Ongseong Hospital that holds secrets.

Maeda is the most mysterious character in “Gyeongseong Creature”. Despite her elegant and restrained appearance, she is a character who arouses more curiosity as the series progresses due to the backstory of the fact that she is hiding something.

Soo Hyun went through thorough preparation to portray Maeda’s character, who has a charisma that can be threatening just by her existence.

To portray a character very different from her actual personality, she worked on controlling her emotions. She exchanged many opinions with Director Jeong Dong-yoon to create Maeda’s charisma through her gaze and gestures.

Soo Hyun, who has shown proficient English acting in various works such as “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”, and the Netflix original series “Marco Polo”, will show her acting as a Kyoto region Japanese in this series.

Soo Hyun said, “I thought it would not be easy to express the role, but I was convinced that I would grow more as an actor, so I decided to appear in it.” She expressed her hope, saying, “I hope many people enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed filming it.”

“Gyeongseong Creature” depicts the story of two youths, Jang Tae-sang (Park Seo-joon) and Yoon Chae-ok (Han So-hee), who are up against a monster born out of greed in the spring of 1945 when the darkness of the era was at its peak and survival was everything. Part 1 will be released on the 22nd, and Part 2 will be released on January 5, 2024.
