BTS’s V revealed the backstory behind his appearance in IU’s music video for “Love Wins All”.

On the 28th, a video titled “The Day I Exchanged Health for Good Results” was uploaded to IU’s YouTube channel.

The released video captured IU’s during the music video shoot for her new song “Love Wins All”. IU shared, “I gritted my teeth. Director Eom Tae Hwa took charge of the music video shooting. Despite his busy schedule attending international film festivals, he took on this project with great passion,” and added, “V was also scheduled to enlist a week after the shooting day. Despite his unbelievable schedule, we were lucky to find a matching time, and thus his appearance was confirmed,” revealing the casting story.

She continued, “I feel like I’m using all the popularity I’ve accumulated over the years for this album. I was a bit shocked because I was so lucky, but it also gave me a lot of strength. I feel good starting with these two,” she said with a smile.

Regarding the reason for casting V as the male lead in the music video, she said, “While talking with Director Eom Tae-hwa, we thought, ‘He should feel very cool and reliable when he is determined, even though he has a boyish charm.’ At first, I wondered if there was such a person, but then I happened to contact V around that time and he came to mind.”

“I sent the song ‘Love Wins All’ to V first, and he gladly agreed to appear because he liked the song. I think it’s a unique casting,” IU explained.

V, who stood before the IU TV camera that day, asked himself, “Am I suitable for this role?” while introducing himself as “IU’s Big Picture V.”

He then explained why he decided to appear in the “Love Wins All” music video, saying, “First of all, the work is directed by Director Eom Tae-hwa of ‘Concrete Utopia,’ so I thought it would be a precious memory working on a project together,” and added, “I wanted to listen to the song after IU contacted me. The song appealed to my taste so much that I felt I would regret not appearing in the music video.”

Meanwhile, the music video for “Love Wins All” unfolds in a post-apocalyptic setting. Following the initial shoot, IU remarked, “As soon as I woke up this morning, I checked on V. He put in a tremendous effort yesterday and generously returned to the set today. I’m wondering how I can show my gratitude. I’m not sure how to approach him after we finish shooting,” she said with a laugh.
