The song “LEFT RIGHT” by the group XG has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.

According to Spotify, the world’s largest music platform, XG’s (Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya, Cocona) third single “SHOOTING STAR”‘s track “LEFT RIGHT” recorded a cumulative play count of 100,051,320 as of the 1st.

Previously, XG achieved 100 million streams on Spotify with their third single title track “SHOOTING STAR”. Following this, “LEFT RIGHT” has surpassed 100 million streams, marking the birth of their second song to achieve this milestone.

“LEFT RIGHT” is a hip-hop R&B song that carries a message of trusting oneself and striving toward one’s dreams. Notably, during their surprise stage on Mnet’s “M Countdown”, they showcased a unified outfit with a 90s essence and a half-face covering high hat style. Despite the limited vision, they presented a perfect performance, maximizing the focus on the stage, which received high praise and drew much attention.

Proving this, global musicians Ciara and Jackson Wang performed XG’s “LEFT RIGHT REMIXX” at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, creating a surprising buzz. The remix was officially released as a song, continuing the hot streak.

Moreover, “LEFT RIGHT” entered the U.S. radio chart Mediabase Top 40, making XG the first Asian girl group to stay on the chart for 13 consecutive weeks, reaching a peak rank of 25th. It was also selected for 2023 Best Songs announced by Rolling Stone, Elle Magazine, and Tidal, further proving their unceasing global popularity.

XG, who is creating a new movement with their innovative music and distinct identity, is solidifying their foothold by receiving rave reviews on global charts such as the U.S. Billboard, Japan’s Oricon, and China’s QQ Music with their first mini album “NEW DNA”.

In the meantime, XG is set to perform at the Kstyle PARTY in Japan in February and the SUPALAPA festival in Malaysia in March. They have also announced a world tour in 2024, indicating a continued rise in popularity.
