Actress renowned for her healthy yet slender stature, Bae Doona, recently revealed she was pressured to crash diet for a Hollywood film.

On February 17, Moon Sook uploaded a video on her “Day by Day Moon Sook,” AKA “Day by Day With Suki,” YouTube channel titled “Enjoying Tea Time and Chatting about Hollywood with Actress Bae Doona.”

In the video, Bae Doona shared, “In 2022, I worked on a Hollywood film called “Rebel Moon.” Filming was between March and October, and as soon as I arrived in March, they put me on a strict diet. I received hard weight training and a diet regimen that had no sugar at all. I had one white egg in the morning, half an apple, and salmon and asparagus for lunch. That was it.”

She continued, “After about six months of a protein-heavy diet, I lost a lot of weight during pre-production, and I had no energy when I started shooting. What was surprising was that I couldn’t act. I couldn’t concentrate. Even in the scenes where I thought I was confident, I made mistakes. I couldn’t do anything.”

She further revealed, “I was so angry with myself wondering what the problem was that I binge-ate chocolate I had quit eating for a month. Ever since that incident, I suddenly was able to focus better. I shed a lot of tears nightly while acting for this movie.”
