‘Harry Potter’ Star’ Raises Eyebrows with Fanmeeting Fee

charges $440 for a small group fan meeting, with tickets priced at $150 and an additional $160 for a selfie with the actor.

British actor Rupert Grint has sparked controversy over the high costs of his fan meeting.

On the 3rd (Korean time), the UK’s Daily Mail reported that Rupert Grint will host a fan meeting at a convention event in Paris later this month.

The ticket price for his fan meeting starts at an astonishing 101 pounds (approximately $150), with an additional 111 pounds (approximately $160) required for fans wishing to take a selfie with the actor.

Moreover, a small group fan meeting where fans can converse with the actor for 30 minutes is 298 pounds (approximately $440), shocking many fans.

Some fans have expressed criticism regarding the exorbitant expenses for fan meetings.

Meanwhile, Rupert Grint, born in 1988 and now 35 years old, played the role of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series.

He debuted in 2001 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and has since appeared in various films and dramas.

In particular, he became the first of the three main actors from the Harry Potter Series to become a parent, welcoming a daughter in 2020.

The first Harry Potter season featuring Rupert Grint topped the global box office. The Harry Potter series has continued to be popular and successful not only in Korea but also worldwide.
