BTS member V has broken his record on Spotify with his new song, “FRI(END)S.”

According to the latest chart (as of March 15) from Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, V’s new digital single “FRI(END)S” entered the Daily Top Song Global in 7th place with 4,728,233 streams on the first day of release.

This is three steps higher than V’s previous record with “Love Me Again,” a pre-release track from his first solo album, Layover, released last September and ranked 10th on the Daily Top Song Global (August 11, 2023).

“FRI(END)S” also ranked 2nd on the Oricon Daily Digital Single Ranking (as of March 15) in Japan. Including the original track, four tracks from “FRI(END)S” – “Instrumental” (4th), “Slowed Down” (7th), and “Sped Up” (8th) versions—made it in the top 10 rankings.

V previously demonstrated his strong global influence by topping the iTunes Top Songs chart in 87 countries/regions with “FRI(END)S” (as of 7 a.m. on the 16th).

Meanwhile, V is currently serving in the military as a member of the Military Police Special Lease, directly under the command of the 2nd Infantry Division in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. He is scheduled to be discharged on June 10, 2025.
