ILLIT Breaks Billboard Records with Debut Track ‘Magnetic’

Daniel Kim Views

The song “Magnetic” by the K-pop girl group ILLIT is consistently gaining popularity on major U.S. Billboard charts.

According to the U.S. Billboard charts announcement as of May 21st, the title track “Magnetic” from ILLIT’s first mini album Super Real Me ranked 11th and 17th on the Global 200 excluding U.S. and Global 200 charts for eight consecutive weeks. It also maintained its top 10 position for six weeks in a row on the World Digital Song Sales chart ranking 7th.

Despite not having any significant promotions or activities in the U.S., ILLIT is achieving extraordinary success. “Magnetic” was the debut song to make its mark on both the U.S. Billboard Main Song Chart Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100. Also, “Super Real Me” has entered the Main Album Chart Billboard 200 at 93rd place as of May 11th.

ILLIT‘s domestic music performance is also attracting attention. “Magnetic” is maintaining its top position as second place on Melon’s latest weekly chart and topped three sections, including Global K-pop, Digital, and Streaming, of the Circle Chart’s April monthly chart. The track “Lucky Girl Syndrome” ranked 14th on the Bugs weekly chart and 38th on the Melon weekly chart.
