With his second solo album, BTS’s RM has reached #5 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

According to a chart forecast article posted on Billboard’s official website on June 3, RM’s second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, released on May 24, secured #5 on the main album chart Billboard 200 (June 8th edition). RM’s new album recorded 43,000 physical album sales, 7,500 SEA units (sales converted from streaming counts), and 3,500 TEA units (sales converted from digital music download counts).

With this, RM has entered the Billboard 200 for the third time on a personal work basis, following his 2018 mixtape mono. at #26 and 2022’s Indigo at #15. Indigo recorded the highest performance on this chart at #3 and Right Place, Wrong Person climbed to #5, making RM the first K-pop solo artist to place two consecutive works in the top 5 of the Billboard 200.

Right Place, Wrong Person covers moments of feeling like an outsider unfit for the place and includes 11 songs, including the title track “LOST!” The new album received rave reviews from the media, described by NME as a “beautiful and intriguing artistic work,” and by Hypebeast as “an appealing musical journey proven by the leader of BTS.”
