The girl group BLACKPINK has accompanied President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is currently visiting the UK.

On the 21st (local time), BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé attended a state banquet at Buckingham Palace with President Yoon Suk Yeol and other dignitaries.

At the banquet, King Charles III of the UK thanked each member of BLACKPINK in turn, saying, “I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, better known collectively as BLACKPINK, for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience as Ambassadors for the U.K.’s Presidency of COP 26, and later as advocates for the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.” Previously, BLACKPINK served as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) ambassador at the UN Climate Change Conference in the UK in 2021.

This is the first time in about four months that all members of BLACKPINK have gathered together since their concert in Seoul last August. Rosé added to her beauty in a black dress, Lisa in a vibrant green lace dress, and Jennie in a white off-shoulder dress. Rosé and Jisoo also enhanced their charm in black-toned dresses that suited them.

Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has released hit songs such as “BOOMBAYAH,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and “Pink Venom.” BLACKPINK, now in its seventh year since its debut, is currently discussing contract renewal with YG Entertainment. The group has been reported to have completed its contract activities, but YG Entertainment maintains that “nothing has been confirmed. We are in discussions.”

Recently, BLACKPINK received the honor of Top K-Pop Touring Artist at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards.
