North Korean authorities have pitched the responsibility for nuclear proliferation to the United States. It is interpreted as an attempt to justify their illegal nuclear provocations.
A report from Rodong News on the 7th covered the United States’ latest stealth strategic bomber, the B-21 Raider, and the upgraded tactical nuclear weapon, the B61-13. The publication strongly criticized the U.S., accusing it of persistently planning nuclear pre-emptive strikes against other countries.
They stated, “The U.S. is conducting test flights of a new generation of stealth strategic bomber that can pre-emptively strike anywhere in the world with nuclear weapons and is pushing ahead with the production plan of new tactical nuclear weapons.”
It also strongly criticized that “the U.S. is trying to put into practice the nuclear pre-emptive strike doctrine at any time. The fact that the U.S. is publicizing the nuclear force policy of Russia and China these days is also to create conditions favorable to it.”
Rodong News also highlighted concerns, stating, “The reckless modernization and strengthening of nuclear weapons by the United States for global dominance risk upsetting the global nuclear balance. This is likely to face strong opposition.”
The B-21 is the latest strategic bomber that the U.S. has released for the first time in 30 years, and it can strike anywhere in the world from the U.S. mainland. The B61-13 is the latest version of the U.S. B61 series tactical nuclear weapons, and the U.S. Department of Defense announced its production plan last October.
