SEVENTEEN Surpasses BLACKPINK and NEWJEANS, Claims Top Spot in Idol Group Brand Ranking

Followed by BLACKPINK in second place
And NEWJEANS in third

In January 2024, SEVENTEEN topped the Idol Group Brand Reputation.

The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed the Idol Group Brand Reputation by extracting 77,025,219 idol group brand big data from December 18, 2023, to January 18, 2024.

The brand reputation index is an index created through brand big data analysis because consumers’ online habits have a significant influence on brand consumption. Through this, the positive or negative evaluation of the brand, media interest, consumer participation and communication, and social conversation are measured.

The top 30 idol group brand reputations in January 2024 were SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, NEWJEANS, IVE, RIIZE, Stray Kids, aespa, BTS, (G)I-DLE,  ZERØBASE ONE, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, BABYMONSTER, THE BOYZ, B1A4, BTOB, ENHYPEN, Red Velvet, APRIL, NMIXX, NCT, Girls’ Generation, ATEEZ, TVXQ, EXO, fromis_9, HIGH KEY, Boy Next Door, ITZY, and SHINee.

SEVENTEEN, who ranked first, had a brand reputation index of 5,075,849 in January. They recorded a participation index of 703,934, a media index of 1,026,319, a communication index of 1,571,217, and a community index of 1,774,379.

Compared to the brand reputation index 5,711,207 in December, it decreased by 11.12%.

Meanwhile, the Korean Business Research Institute director said, “SEVENTEEN recorded the top brand in the idol group brand reputation ranking in January 2024.”

He added, “Loogroup brand category increased by 5.39% compared to 73,083,767 idol group brand big data pieces in December. A detailed analysis shows a 0.29% decrease in brand consumption, a 6.85% increase in brand issues, a 4.17% increase in brand communication, and a 7.03% increase in brand dissemination.”
