Despite facing stiff competition from chart-topping giants like Morgan Wallen, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, and Drake, who dominated Billboard and Spotify in 2023, BTS’s Jung Kook proved undeniable, clinching the Male Artist of the Year award at the People’s Choice Awards.

From collaborative triumph to solo glory, Jung Kook continues his People’s Choice reign, winning two years in a row. He broke ground as the first K-pop solo artist at the ceremony in 2022 by winning Collaboration Song of the Year with Charlie Puth’s song “Left and Right.”

Jung Kook embarked on official solo activities last year through his first solo single, “Seven (feat. Latto)”, “3D (feat. Jack Harlow),” and his solo album GOLDEN, receiving great praise and achieving remarkable results in music charts worldwide.

Stray Kids were recognized for their activities in 2023 and selected as the Group/Duo category winners. This is the first time Stray Kids has won an award at the People’s Choice Awards.

Stray Kids were selected as winners in the Group/Duo category for their achievements from their activities in 2023. This is the first time they were awarded at the People’s Choice Awards.

Stray Kids consecutively achieved the No.1 ranking on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart with their 5-STAR and Rockstar albums released last year and stayed No.1 four times in a row. Following BTS, they succeeded in entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time as a 4th-gen K-pop boy group.

In addition, Taylor Swift won awards in the Female Artist and Pop Artist categories.

First held in 1975, the People’s Choice Awards determines nominees and winners across pop culture and media, 49 years and counting. Winners are selected through an online voting system.

Jung Kook and Stray Kids continue to prove their popularity by being nominated for the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards on April 1.

Jung Kook has been nominated in four categories: Best Music Video, Favorite Debut Album, Kpop Artist of the Year, and Kpop Song of the Year. Stray Kids has been nominated for Kpop Artist of the Year and Kpop Song of the Year.
