San Francisco Giants’ Lee Jung Hoo (25) is receiving attention for hitting the first home run in his second Major League Baseball (MLB) exhibition game.

Lee Jung Hoo showcased a splendid batting performance during the away game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, held at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Arizona on the 1st (Korean time).

Lee Jung Hoo, who started as a center fielder that day, achieved a dazzling record of 3 at-bats, 2 hits, 1 home run, and 1 RBI. Particularly, he hit a low-angle home run over the fence against right-handed pitcher Ryne Nelson when they were behind 0-2 in the top of the third inning with two outs.

According to MLB Statcast, this home run was recorded at a speed of 109.6 mph, a launch angle of 18 degrees, and a distance of 418 feet.

Lee Jung Hoo’s powerful hit results in a major home run, once again proving his reputation for batting skills.

In addition, Lee Jung Hoo performed brilliantly in the game that day, hitting a double in the early stages of the first inning.

Lee Jung Hoo has garnered high expectations by signing a contract with San Francisco for a total of $113 million over six years ahead of this season.

Although his participation in the exhibition game was delayed due to minor back discomfort in the early spring camp, he stood in front of the fans in good health after sufficient rest.

He announced a successful debut by recording 3 at-bats, 1 hit, and 1 run in his first exhibition game against the Seattle Mariners on the 28th of last month.

Despite Lee Jung Hoo’s outstanding performance, the San Francisco Giants lost the game that day by a score of 1-2.

However, Lee Jung Hoo’s first home run and excellent record are expected to inject new vitality into the team. Lee Jung Hoo’s exhibition game batting average is currently 0.500 (6 at-bats, 3 hits), and his future performance is highly anticipated.
