Three men in their twenties who used force to kidnap an acquaintance in Seoul have been arrested by the police.

On the 10th, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they are investigating three men in their early twenties who are under arrest on suspicion of violating the law on punishment of violence (confinement).

According to the police, these individuals are suspected of forcing a young man whom they personally knew into their car in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, around 11:25 PM the previous day and driving to Gangbuk-gu.

The man who was kidnapped was safely found by the police because his friend reported his absence to 112.

The police discovered their vehicle in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, and arrested the three individuals around 2 AM that day.

Fortunately, it was reported that the man was not injured when found. The police have secured his safety.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident by identifying the details, such as the relationship between the two parties and the motives for the offenders’ actions.

Meanwhile, last year in Gangnam, Seoul, there was a case where a man attempted to kidnap high-income women one after another. He only targeted well-known female lecturers with high incomes. This man was sentenced to two years and six months in prison in the first trial.
