Elon Musk’s space company, SpaceX, attempted the third flight of the unmanned spacecraft Starship, which was developed for lunar and Martian exploration.

According to Reuters and others, SpaceX embarked on its third test flight from “Starbase” in southern Texas on the 13th.

Starship’s upcoming launch is highly anticipated, as its previous two test flights failed to reach their targets and exploded.

Previously, Starship had its first test flight on April 20th last year, but the rocket failed to separate after takeoff and exploded in mid-air about four minutes later.

The second test flight conducted on November 18th last year successfully separated the second-stage rocket but exploded 10 minutes after takeoff.

Starship is a key rocket that Elon Musk is developing to fulfill his ambitions for Mars colonization. It is the longest rocket ever, at 394 feet, and its thrust is 7590tf (ton-force; 1tf is the force to lift 1 ton).
