Daniel Kim Views

Apple may launch a foldable iPhone as early as 2026.

According to a report from the IT news outlet The Information yesterday, Apple is expected to launch a foldable iPhone by as early as 2026.

The Information reported that Apple has progressed beyond the idea stage in developing the foldable iPhone.

Internally, the project is codenamed V68, and Apple is actively pushing it forward.

There have already been many reports on Apple’s development of a foldable iPhone.

The latest report from The Information highlights that Apple has now confirmed the launch of this project.

Apple has reportedly contacted suppliers in Asia to ensure the availability of components for the new device.

The outlet predicted that the foldable iPhone will have a clamshell design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series.

Samsung first launched the foldable phone market in 2019, and since then, Chinese manufacturers like Huawei have introduced their models, establishing a significant trend in the industry.

According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, the global foldable smartphone market grew by 49% in the first quarter of this year compared to last year, marking the highest growth rate in six quarters.
