The newspaper stated, “On the test firing, the rocket weapon system with improved mobility and strike concentration technology demonstrated superiority in all indicators, including the newly introduced guidance system, handling quality, and destructive power.”

It was also reported that Kim stressed the important principles to uphold in producing artillery weapons and replacing equipment for military units.

The test firing included participants such as Pak Jong Chon, vice chairman of the Party Central Military Commission and secretary of the Party Central Committee; Jo Chun Ryong, secretary of the Party Central Committee; Ri Yong Gil, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces; Kim Jong Sik, first deputy director of the Party Central Committee; Kim Yong Hwan, director of the National Defense Science Institute, and commanders of military joint units.
