On the 20th (local time), Prevention, an American media outlet, reported that Harvard University research identified zucchini as the best diet vegetable.

Zucchini, a low-calorie vegetable, has only 17 calories per 100g, making it an ideal food for weight loss.

Zucchini is rich in various nutrients, especially the Vitamin B complex, riboflavin. This nutrient is necessary for the production of red blood cells and the conversion of carbohydrates into energy. The abundance of nutrients like riboflavin is beneficial for a healthy diet.

Zucchini is also rich in Vitamin A, which is good for eye health. It also contains Vitamin E, which helps to remove active oxygen.

Zucchini is rich in Vitamin C, which helps with stomach ulcers and digestion. It also has a high potassium content, which is good for sodium excretion and can help with cardiovascular diseases.

Beets were voted as the second-best vegetable for dieting. This summer seasonal vegetable contains a nutrient called ‘betaine,’ which locates the genes associated with abdominal fat and insulin resistance. The nitrate in beets is good for lowering blood pressure. It is also rich in folic acid. Its high fiber content helps to maintain a feeling of fullness for a long time, making it good for dieting.

Bell peppers were voted as the third-best vegetable for dieting. Bell peppers are an excellent food ingredient rich in vitamins and minerals. In particular, they contain three times more Vitamin C than oranges. They are rich in antioxidants and have the effect of eliminating inflammation caused by obesity. Since they have low calories, people frequently use these vegetables during dieting.
