Tool for Writing and Drawing

3rd Generation ‘Apple Pencil’ / Provided by Apple

On the 17th (local time), iPhone manufacturer Apple announced the release of the new 3rd generation Apple Pencil.

The Apple Pencil is a tool that allows you to write and draw on the iPad like a pencil. The release of the 3rd generation product comes five years after the 2nd generation release in October 2018.

Apple explained that this product “offers more product choices to iPad users at a reasonable price.”

The price is $79, which is about 40% cheaper than the previous price of $129.

The charging port is a USB-C, just like the iPhone 15 series launched last month. As a result, it is compatible with all iPad models.

It is designed to be attached to the iPad with a magnet for storage, and it also features the same tilt detection function and ‘hover’ function that shows where the pen will touch in advance as the previous model.

Apple plans to start selling the new Apple Pencil in North America and other regions from early November.
