Craving Rice Balls? Try this Easy Tuna Mayo Rice Ball Recipe

Daniel Kim Views

Today, we’re introducing a simple recipe for rice balls that you can easily make at home.

We’re talking about tuna mayo triangle gimbap. While round rice balls are great,

Something about the triangle shape with seaweed only on the bottom makes it feel like you’re eating out.

Drain the tuna oil and mix it with mayonnaise to make tuna mayo.

Filling the tuna mayo inside the cooked rice will taste great.

One rice ball can fill you up, and two can satisfy you fully.

Try having it with a simple, hot miso soup.

Rice Ball Recipe, Making Tuna Mayo Triangle Kimbap

Ingredients: 1 bowl of rice, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, a pinch of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar

Tuna Mayo: 1 small can of tuna, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, a pinch of salt, a little sugar, 3 tablespoons of diced cucumber (with a pinch of salt)

Others: 1 slice of soft cheese, 1 sheet of seaweed

1. Add 1 rice bowl to mix it with vinegar, sugar, and salt lightly. This will also cool down the heat.

2. Drain out the tuna oil and mix it with mayonnaise. Add a pinch of salt and cucumber soaked in a bit of salt for about 10 minutes. Make sure to squeeze out the water from the cucumber.

3. Place a layer of plastic wrap in a rice bowl and top it with rice. Then, add a layer of tuna mayo.

4. Depending on your taste, add 1 slice of soft cheese.

5. Shape it into a round ball first, and form it into a triangular kimbap shape.

6. Place the seaweed at the bottom of the triangular gimbap.

7. Lastly, place the leftover tuna mayo on the triangular gimbap. And that’s it!

If you want to eat them as tuna rice balls, simply shape them into circular balls and roll them in sesame seeds.

Add miso paste to water for the miso soup, thinly slice green onions, and simmer for a moment. It will be perfect to accompany the meal.
