CNN reports that Kris Major, a British flight attendant with 25 years of experience, suggests skipping in-flight meals on long-haul flights.

Instead, Major advises passengers to eat before boarding and bring snacks for when hunger strikes. He explains that dining before your flight can lead to a more comfortable travel experience.

However, Kris suggested other alternatives for passengers who want to eat in-flight meals. He advised eating the breakfast provided by the airline just before landing. He recommended not following the meal times set by the flight attendants but rather following one’s own circadian rhythm.

Meanwhile, Kris shared additional tips for travelers on long-haul flights.

Firstly, he suggested that passengers prone to motion sickness choose seats at the front of the plane, where movements are less noticeable. For those who prioritize sleep, he recommended sitting by the window to avoid being disturbed by aisle-seat passengers or those in the middle who need to move to the restroom.

Lastly, he advised passengers to move around frequently. Kris mentioned that it’s okay to stretch as long as it doesn’t bother other passengers and emphasized that maintaining blood circulation is the most important thing on a long-haul flight.
