The Trans Dinarica cycling route connects eight European countries and has officially opened.

According to reports from Time Out, the Trans Dinarica bike route in the Western Balkans was opened to the public on the 31st. This extensive route spans approximately 3,360 kilometers (2,088 miles) and links Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Serbia.

Cyclists traveling along the Trans Dinarica can enjoy diverse natural landscapes, including the Adriatic coast, national parks in Kosovo, and the rugged mountains and dense forests of Montenegro. Along the way, they can stop in small villages to enjoy local food, rest, and enjoy local culture.

The Trans Dinarica is divided into around 100 routes, making it accessible to riders of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced cyclists. The route offers a variety of terrains, including flat asphalt roads, forest trails, and a dedicated cycling trail, allowing riders to choose the course that best suits their abilities.

Alex Crevar, who was involved in designing the Trans Dinarica, highly recommends the route for those exploring the Western Balkans by bike. He noted, “Cyclists can expect an adventure like no other.”
