In September, Malaysia will host the Ombak Festival at Desaru Coast, bringing together global artists and Michelin-starred chefs. Scheduled from the 13th to the 15th of the month, the festival promises a vibrant mix of music, culinary delights, and artistic exhibitions.

Local media, including Options, report that the Ombak Festival will feature over 50 events spanning music, food, and art, highlighting Malaysia’s rich cultural scene.

Over three days, the Ombak Festival at Desaru Coast will feature performances by international stars, including Grace Jones and Macy Gray, alongside more than 20 local artists. Nile Rodgers & CHIC, who will also perform in South Korea this September, are set to headline the event.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to savor gourmet food and cocktails prepared by Michelin-starred chefs. The event will also include pop-up restaurants showcasing Malaysia’s renowned culinary scene. In addition to the music and food, the festival will offer an extensive art exhibition along the coastline, with installations by Malaysia’s leading sculptors and photographers, allowing guests to enjoy artwork as they stroll the beach.

Families will also find plenty to do, with child-friendly activities such as a water park, silent disco parties, and kite-flying experiences.
