According to Timeout, the Bronx Zoo’s Halloween festival, Pumpkin Nights, is celebrating its second year this season. Visitors can enjoy a 0.5-mile (0.8 km) illuminated trail featuring intricately carved animal-themed jack-o’-lanterns.

Jack-o’-lanterns are a Halloween staple, but at Pumpkin Nights, they take on a whole new level of creativity. The event features intricately carved pumpkin lanterns depicting animals from diverse ecosystems, such as the Amazon rainforest, the Himalayas, the deep sea, and the African savanna. The display is further enhanced with vibrant lighting effects, festive music, fog, and bubbles, creating an immersive Halloween experience.
