On Thursday, Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani had a memorable day on the field. During the game, his dog, Decoy, was honored with the ceremonial first pitch. Ohtani played a key role in the Dodgers’ 6-4 victory, hitting a home run and stealing two bases.

The game took place at home against the Baltimore Orioles, where Ohtani played as the leadoff designated hitter, achieving 2 hits in 4 at-bats, 1 RBI, and scoring 3 runs. In the first inning, he smashed his 42nd home run of the season, sending the ball over the right-center field fence.

In the third inning, Ohtani advanced to the second base on a hit by Mookie Betts, then stole third during a double steal. He later scored as part of the team’s three-run home run. In the fifth inning, Ohtani successfully stole second base, then took third base on an error, and scored again due to another mistake by the Orioles.

The moment when Decoy brought the ball to Ohtani on the mound deeply touched the fans, creating a heartwarming scene. Adding to the excitement, the Dodgers handed out 2,000 Ohtani bobbleheads before the game, drawing a crowd of about 20,000 fans to Dodger Stadium.

Ohtani’s outstanding performance and the special moment with his dog made this game an unforgettable experience for the fans.
