Lionel Messi has delivered an impressive performance with 20 goals and 10 assists in 19 matches.

Although Messi’s achievement wasn’t the only one, Inter Miami claimed the Supporters’ Shield this year, which was awarded to the team with the most points in the regular season. On Saturday, in the final match of the regular season, they faced the New England Revolution and secured a 6-2 victory thanks to Messi’s hat trick.

With this victory, Inter Miami raised their points total to 74, setting a record for the most points in MLS regular season history. This is a remarkable turnaround for a club that managed only 34 points last year, adding an impressive 40 points this season.

Although Messi missed some matches due to injury, he still played in 19 league games, recording an impressive 20 goals and 10 assists. Spain’s SPORT praised his impact, noting that one person can change the entire history of a club and even a league. Messi’s influence skyrocketed to unbelievable levels in just a year and a half since arriving in Miami.

Not only has he improved the team’s performance, but he has also elevated the club’s brand value. Alfonso Mondelo, Major League Soccer technical director, mentioned that the Messi effect is being felt in every stadium.

Mondelo noted that every stadium where Messi plays is packed with spectators wanting to see him, and people in Miami jerseys look like fans of the local team, calling it a fascinating phenomenon.

Miami also has Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, and the team’s performance this year has exceeded expectations. Messi has undoubtedly contributed to soccer’s rise in popularity in the United States, and it has also been an ideal year for MLS.
