The brand Christian Dior is at the center of controversy after changing its model.

Recently, luxury fashion brand Christian Dior has been reported to have replaced Palestinian model Bella Hadid with Israeli model May Tager.

While not confirmed, attention has been drawn to the fact that May Tager was acknowledged as the model for Dior’s end-of-year holiday season campaign.

Amid this, Bella Hadid, who became the first Dior promotional model from Palestine in 2016, is attracting attention.

Online Community

Bella Hadid is well-known for supporting Palestine alongside her father and sister, and after becoming a Dior model, she has raised her voice even more for advocating Palestinian rights.

Furthermore, she showed more active movements after the Hamas attack last October.

Some netizens are speculating that Dior’s decision to replace Palestinian model Bella Hadid with Israeli May Tager might indicate support for Israel.

Online, the atmosphere is beginning to believe in this speculation, and there are even movements for comments and boycotts against Dior.

However, some media outlets claim that Bella Hadid’s contract with Dior ended last March and that May Tager has also consistently been a Dior campaign model.

There are reports of corrections and explanations regarding this matter, but there are mixed reactions on online communities and social media, and the debate among netizens continues.
