Daniel Kim Views

A plane collision occurred at Heathrow Airport, the busiest in the UK.

British Airways reported on the 6th (local time) that the wingtip of an empty Virgin Atlantic jet collided with a stationary passenger plane at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Heathrow Airport has stated that no passenger injuries have been reported and does not anticipate the incident’s lasting impact on airport operations.

Furthermore, they cooperate with emergency services and the two airlines to manage the accident’s aftermath.

Virgin Atlantic revealed that the incident occurred at Terminal 3 while the plane, which had just completed its flight and disembarked passengers, was towed to another part of the airport.

A spokesperson for Virgin Atlantic stated, “We have initiated a comprehensive investigation, and our engineering team is currently conducting maintenance checks on the grounded aircraft. The flight program will remain unaffected.”

Meanwhile, attention is being directed towards determining the exact cause of the Boeing 787-9 aircraft accident.
