A high-ranking Russian official’s plane returned to Russia after staying in North Korea for about 40 hours.

According to the flight tracking site Flightradar24, the TU-204-300 of the Russia Special Flight Detachment, responsible for transporting high-ranking state officials, took off from Sunan International Airport in Pyongyang, North Korea, at 9:24 PM local time on the 4th and headed to Moscow, as reported by Radio Free Asia.

High-ranking Russian government officials frequently use this aircraft. For instance, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov traveled on it while accompanying President Putin on international trips.

As a result, there are speculations that this visit may be related to the preparation for the return visit to North Korea promised by Putin.

Earlier, NK News, a U.S. media outlet specializing in North Korea, reported that this aircraft departed from Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow on the 2nd and landed at Pyongyang International Airport around 6 AM local time on the 3rd.
