It appears that Russian President Vladimir Putin will soon be visiting North Korea.
A senior Russian presidential official, meeting with reporters in Astana, Kazakhstan, disclosed that President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit North Korea “in the coming days.” Concurrently, strategic diplomacy and security dialogues will occur between South Korea and China. The official emphasized that in light of these developments, Russia would continue engaging with major regional powers and strategic partners to seek alignment with South Korea on the North Korean issue.
Some foreign media have reported the possibility of Putin visiting North Korea and Vietnam this month. If Putin visits North Korea, it will be the first time in 24 years since July 2000.
