Jake Sullivan, the U.S. National Security Advisor, predicted that technology related to nuclear programs could flow between North Korea and Russia.

In a Sunday CBS interview, Sullivan was asked about North Korea’s incentive for military support amid the Ukrainian war. “Kim Jong Un expects that he’s going to get something significant, probably in the form of military and technology support from Russia,” he said.

When questioned if this was connected to nuclear programs, he acknowledged there is a possibility. He noted that the perception of North Korea’s nuclear program has evolved over the past five to ten years. He emphasized that concerns regarding the relationship between Russia and North Korea are both real and mutual, urging every country in the free world to pay attention.

“Frankly, I think Vladimir Putin doesn’t know for sure. I think he probably hasn’t decided exactly what he’s going to do for North Korea on a going forward basis.,” he added.

Regarding the recent six billion-dollar support package announced by the Biden administration, he said they would expedite its implementation.

Sullivan emphasized that all resources and support approved by Congress will be sent to Ukraine by January 20 of the following year. He also noted that over the next seventy days, President Biden would have the opportunity to persuade Congress and the incoming administration that the U.S. must not abandon Ukraine.
