Russia Hits Back Hard: Intercepts Storm Shadow and ATACMS Missiles Amid Ukraine’s ICBM Launch

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that it had shot down two British-made Storm Shadow air-to-ground cruise missiles from Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in its daily report on the special military operation in Ukraine that “over the past twenty-four hours, Russian air defense systems intercepted two Storm Shadow missiles, six rocks from the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), and sixty-seven drones.”
Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that unidentified Western officials confirmed Ukraine’s first airstrike on Russian territory (Kursk) using Storm Shadow missiles.
Ukraine launched its first attack on Russian territory using American-made ATACMS long-range tactical ballistic missiles on Tuesday as well.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting five out of six ATACMS missiles.
The Ukrainian Air Force announced on Thursday that Russian forces had launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) against them.
