Eric Trump, the son of President-elect Donald Trump, has predicted that Bitcoin will eventually reach the $1 million mark. According to blockchain media outlet CoIntel Corporation, Eric Trump delivered a keynote speech at the Bitcoin MENA event in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Trump expressed unwavering confidence in Bitcoin’s future, asserting it will ultimately hit $1 million per coin. He emphasized that this development has the potential to revolutionize the global economy in remarkable ways. Trump also speculated that once Bitcoin reaches this milestone, it will capture the attention of a much broader audience.

Looking ahead, Trump forecast increased government adoption of Bitcoin in the coming years, suggesting that early adopters stand to reap significant benefits from this shift. Trump noted that email, invented in 1970, took a quarter-century to achieve widespread use. “People are slow as hell to adapt to new technology,” he observed.

Trump drew a parallel between Bitcoin and email adoption and attributed the gradual adoption of Bitcoin to this tendency, explaining that it’s not unusual for groundbreaking technologies to take time before gaining widespread popularity.

In his closing remarks, Trump predicted that cryptocurrencies will inevitably outpace traditional banking systems. To illustrate his point, he highlighted the lengthy 90-day process for obtaining a mortgage in the U.S., contrasting it with blockchain technology’s potential to streamline such transactions more efficiently and cost-effectively.
