Kim Jong Un’s New Ride: Putin’s Gifted Car Hits the Streets of Pyongyang

“The special features of the official car are perfect and can be fully trusted.”

North Korean Kim Yo Yong, Deputy Director of the Workers’ Party, said on the 16th that leader Kim Jong Un used the Russian-made official car gifted by President Putin on February 18th for the first time at a public event on the 15th.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, on the 16th, Deputy Director Kim said in a speech, “I am very pleased that our supreme leader is using the special official car gifted by the President of Russia.”

Deputy Director Kim said, “General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s use of the official car gifted by the Russian Federation President is a clear sign of the strengthening friendship between North Korea and Russia at a new high stage.”

Previously, when President Putin gifted Kim Jong Un the Russian-made official car in February, Deputy Director Kim said, “This gift symbolizes the special bond between the leaders of North Korea and Russia, and this gift is the ultimate expression of friendship.”
