A story of a wife who discovered that her husband visited an illicit massage parlor with his colleagues while on a business trip in Southeast Asia has been shared. Although the husband claimed that, unlike his colleagues who enjoyed the decadent massage, he did not receive any services and waited in the waiting room, the wife’s suspicions grew.

On November 11th, an article titled “Please read and give your opinion. Husband who visited an illicit massage parlor overseas” was posted on the online community Nate Pann.

The author, Ms. A, explained, “Last year, my husband went on a three-month business trip to one of the Southeast Asian countries. When his business trip ended, he and five of his close male colleagues went on a two-night, three-day trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam”.

When Ms. A asked her husband why they chose Ho Chi Minh, where there wasn’t much to do or see, he replied, “I just went along because everyone else was going.”

Later, by chance, Ms. A heard that Ho Chi Minh is famous for its nightlife culture, and through Google Timeline, she discovered that her husband had visited an illicit massage parlor.

Ms. A explained, “At the time, my husband, who was hard to reach, said, “I couldn’t answer the phone because I was sleeping. Everyone else is sleeping too, so let’s talk tomorrow”. But as it turns out, on the first night of their trip, they all went to the illicit massage parlor together”.

She continued, “My husband said, ‘I just went along because my close colleagues wanted to get a massage, and when I realized it was an inappropriate place, I waited in the waiting room while the others got their massages.’ He said that only two out of the five got massages, and the other three waited in the waiting room, having drinks, and then they all took a taxi back together”.

She then asked, “My husband claims that although he went to an illicit massage parlor, he didn’t do anything. Does this make any sense? Should I believe this?” She added, “As a woman, I think it’s not possible, but could this be possible for men?” and sought opinions on online forums.

The opinions were divided.

Those who thought the husband was lying speculated, “Most people visit Ho Chi Minh for adult tourism. Even if he said he waited in the waiting room, the women wouldn’t have left him alone, and he would have succumbed to temptation”. Some pointed out that it is doubtful, saying, “It’s like saying you have gone to a chicken restaurant and only eaten radishes.”

On the other hand, those who claimed she should believe her husband argued, “Even if a group goes together, not everyone engages in prostitution due to STDs, hygiene, etc. It’s their choice, and there are often cases where they wait outside.”
