Man Grabs 7-Year-Old by the Head and Dunks Him Underwater for Splashing Water

A disturbing incident occurred at a swimming pool in Hangang Park, Seoul, where a man submerged a 7-year-old child’s head multiple times.

On the 3rd, a complaint was filed in Mapo District, Seoul, around 11:50 AM, saying that a man abused a 7-year-old boy. The victim had mental disabilities.

According to reports, the incident occurred after the child accidentally splashed water on the man’s group. The man responded by submerging the boy several times.

Security footage captured the man approaching the boy and forcefully pushing his head underwater. Despite the boy’s sister attempting to intervene, the man continued the abuse.

The sister told Channel A, “They told me to bring our parents. So, I tried to take my brother out, but suddenly, he grabbed my brother and constantly pushed his head underwater.”

When the victim’s father found this out, he reported it to the police. However, they couldn’t find the perpetrator. Even after the police arrived, the victim was struggling due to the trauma,

During the interview, his father expressed anger, stating, “This was not for fun. It could have been a situation where my son could have died. The third time, he completely pressed him down.”

In response, the police denied the allegations and claimed they were tracking down the perpetrator.

Furthermore, the victim’s family criticized the police’s response, saying, “They suggested I should just handle it myself. They told me to find the perpetrator and get an apology.”

The police reiterated, “We never told anyone to handle it themselves,” and confirmed they are still looking for the perpetrator.
