A famous model’s shocking weight loss down to 29kg due to anorexia raises concerns.

On December 12th (local time), the Chinese media outlet ‘E-Today’ reported about the anorexia that model Hwa Hwa has been battling.

In recent years, Hwahwa has sparked considerable concern with an increasingly emaciated appearance. Standing at 4’10”, she lost weight due to anorexia, dropping to 64 pounds. During this period, she also suffered from severe hair loss, vomiting, and dizziness, which evoked sympathy from the public.

Hua Hua is classified as underweight.

On December 11, Hua Hua confessed through her social media, “It seems some netizens have noticed something strange about me. Yes, I have been suffering from anorexia for the past six months.”

Hua Hua continued, adding that her symptoms had worried her doctor, who advised her to visit a large hospital. However, she reassured her fans that she was diagnosed early and has been getting better significantly after a few months of recovery.

During her six-month battle with anorexia, she experienced symptoms such as amenorrhea, vomiting, dizziness, and lethargy. She revealed that hair loss was the most distressing symptom. “At that time, I couldn’t dare to look in the mirror or weigh myself, and I didn’t want to see anyone,” she said.

Hwa Hwa admitted that there was a time when she thought about giving up everything, but she fortunately changed her mind and faced reality, deciding to focus on treatment.

Hwahwa has announced that, following proactive treatment, she has currently recovered to 33kg. Additionally, she extended words of support to those experiencing similar struggles, saying, ‘Thank you for your efforts to survive throughout this year. If you endure a little longer, next year will be better. Believing in improvement is the beginning of healing. I am here to support you.
