Gypsy Rose Blanchard (32), the real-life character portrayed in the movie *The Act* has stirred controversy by posting about her sex life on social media.

On March 3rd (local time), Gypsy Rose Blanchard who turned from a criminal to a star through the movie *The Act* uploaded a post on her social media discussing her sex life with her boyfriend Ryan Anderson (37) after her release causing a stir.

She wrote on her social media, “Ryan, don’t listen to the people who dislike us. I love you, and you love me. We owe nothing to anyone.” She further flaunted their relationship by adding, “People are jealous because you rock my world every night… Nights with him are amazing.”

While some expressed discomfort at her oversharing of her personal life, others admired her honesty.

Blanchard, who served nearly eight years for second-degree murder was released on February 28th. The couple, who started communicating via letters while Blanchard was in prison in 2020, married in 2022. Netizens are concerned that she who lived under her mother’s control, might be exposed to crime again due to this unconventional relationship.

In 2015, she discovered that her mother Dee Dee Blanchard had deceived her into believing she was a terminal leukemia patient with muscular dystrophy using drugs to gain public sympathy which forced her to rely on a wheelchair for nearly 20 years. Enraged, she conspired with a man she met online Nicholas Godejohn to murder her mother. Godejohn, Blanchard’s then-boyfriend who assisted in the murder plan is still serving a sentence for first-degree murder.

Meanwhile, Blanchard has skyrocketed to fame as a social media star with over 12 million followers due to this incident. She is enjoying her newfound popularity and has published an autobiography detailing her story after her release.
