Selena Gomez Takes Another Social Media Break

Daniel Kim Views

Hollywood actress and singer Selena Gomez (31) has once again declared a hiatus from her social media activities.

On the 10th (local time), Selena Gomez shared a video on her social media of her record producer boyfriend, Benny Blanco, happily spending time with his two young children. She added, “I’m focusing on something really important. I won’t be using social media for a while,” declaring her hiatus.

In response to Selena Gomez’s sudden social media hiatus, local speculation suggests it’s due to the aftermath of a ‘ceremony controversy’. Recently, Selena Gomez was embroiled in a feud rumor with Kylie Jenner, the girlfriend and top model of actor Timothée Chalamet.

On the 7th, Selena Gomez who attended the 81st Golden Globe Awards asked Timothée Chalamet for a photo. However, Kylie Jenner who was present at the event blocked her boyfriend, and a scene that seemed like Selena Gomez was gossiping with her close friend singer Taylor Swift, was witnessed causing a stir.

However, Timothée Chalamet denied the fact and a source close to Taylor Swift also denied it, saying it was groundless. The insider claimed, “Gomez didn’t see Chalamet that day, didn’t talk to him, and didn’t even approach him for a photo.” Selena Gomez herself also denied all these claims.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Gomez, who has about 400 million followers has taken a break from social media. In October of last year, she said, “I’m temporarily stopping activities because my heart aches from all the fear, hate, violence, and terror happening in the world,” and took a break before returning.
