Lee Sang-hee Joins Netflix’s ‘The Recruit’ Season 2, Making Hollywood Debut

Actress Lee Sang-hee announced her Hollywood debut by confirming her casting in season 2 of the Netflix series The Recruit.

The Netflix series The Recruit is an action thriller that depicts events that unfold as a rookie CIA lawyer gets entangled in the dangerous world of spies. The series gained worldwide popularity with Noah Centineo, who became stardom with Netflix movies like Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, The Perfect Date, and To All the Boys: Always and Forever, in the lead role.

Lee Sang-hee, who is newly joined season 2 of The Recruit and is expected to shine, will play the role of ‘Nan-hee,’ the wife of Jang Gyun (played by Yoo Tae-oh), a National Intelligence Service agent in Korea. For Lee Sang-hee, who has been active across various genres, this season 2 of The Recruit is expected to be a turning point that will further expand her horizons as an actress.

So far, Lee Sang-hee has established herself as a trustworthy actress by thoroughly immersing herself in each character she plays and showcasing delicate expressiveness and profound acting skills. Her filmography includes drama series such as Life, All of Us Are Dead, Juvenile Justice, May It Please the Court, Daily Dose of Sunshine, and films such as I Can Speak, Jamsil, A Minor, A Distant Place, and Decibel.

In particular, in the Netflix series Daily Dose of Sunshine, she played the role of a charge nurse, Park Soo-yeon, depicting the struggles of a busy working mom who can’t let go of both work and parenting, leaving a deep resonance in the hearts of viewers.
