BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ MV Hits 800 Million Views

The music video for the pre-released track “Pink Venom” from BLACKPINK’s second full-length album has surpassed 800 million views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 28th, the music video of BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” surpassed 800 million views on YouTube around 4:57 PM the previous day. About a year and five months after its release on August 19, 2022, it became the team’s 12th video to join the 800 million views club.

The music video broke the previous world record for female artists by reaching 90.4 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of its release.

Among K-pop girl groups, it received a hot response by achieving the fastest number of views (100 million views in 29 hours and 35 minutes) and surpassing 200 million views in just seven and a half days.

Its digital performance also soared, topping the iTunes charts in 81 countries immediately after its release and taking the top spot on the Billboard Global 200 for two consecutive weeks and the Billboard Global for three consecutive weeks.

Especially, they demonstrated their significant impact on the global music market by ranking 22nd on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Chart.

Currently, the number of subscribers to BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel is 92.81 million, making them the top artist worldwide, not just in K-pop. They have a total of 45 videos with hundreds of millions of views and are continuously breaking their own records as “YouTube Queens,” with their content collectively surpassing 345.9 billion views.
