ITZY Celebrates 5th Debut Anniversary with Heartfelt Messages and Fan Events

ITZY celebrated its 5th anniversary with a wealth of content, strengthening its worldwide bond with its fans, “MIDZY.”

ITZY debuted on February 12, 2019, with their digital single “IT’z Different” and the “Dalla Dalla” title track. With explosive performances, solid skills, and diverse charms, they captured the hearts of fans worldwide. Recently, they have actively promoted their presence as a leading 4th generation K-pop girl group by releasing the new mini-album “BORN TO BE.”

On February 12, 2024, the day of the 5th debut anniversary, they posted various content on their official SNS channel, expressing their gratitude to their loving and supportive fans. At midnight of the 12th, they opened individual Instagram accounts for the members and released a video titled “ITZY 5th Anniversary ‘MIDZY'” capturing precious moments they spent together over the past five years. Along with the fan song “MIDZY,” which expresses their sincere feelings towards their fans, the video added a touching element by featuring ITZY’s journey from the past to the present with their fans.

At 2:12 PM, a handwritten poster containing messages that ITZY wanted to convey to their fans was released. “Thanks to MIDZY and our members, we’ve spent five years full of good memories. In the poster, they warmly expressed their affectionate feelings by saying, “Thanks to MIDZY and our members, we’ve been able to spend five years full of good memories. We will do our best to make MIDZY happy this year, too. Let’s continue to build joyful memories, as we always have since our debut! Thank you, and we love you with all our hearts.”  At 9 PM, they held an online live event in the evening and communicated with fans worldwide.

ITZY is set to embark on its second world tour, ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR, starting with the concert in Seoul on February 24th and 25th. Their concert in Toronto, Canada, scheduled for June 28 (local time), sold out quickly after ticket sales opened, demonstrating their immense popularity in North America. In response to the overwhelming interest, JYP Entertainment added a performance on June 29. ITZY is expected to showcase its true value as a K-pop representative performer by delivering thrilling energy as they meet local audiences.

ITZY’s new world tour spans 30 performances in 27 regions worldwide and kicks off at the Jamshil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on February 24th and 25th. The tour will then continue to Bangkok, Thailand on March 16; Auckland, New Zealand on the 21st; Sydney, Australia on the 24th; Melbourne on the 26th; Singapore on April 6; Mexico City, Mexico on the 15th; Santiago, Chile on the 18th, London, UK on the 24th, Paris, France on the 26th, Berlin, Germany on the 28th, Amsterdam, Netherlands on May 1, Madrid, Spain on the 4th, Tokyo, Japan on May 18th and 19th, Seattle, USA on June 6, Oakland, USA on the 8th, Los Angeles on the 11th, Sugar Land on the 14th, Irving on the 16th, Atlanta on the 18th, Fairfax on the 20th, Newark on the 23rd, Chicago on the 26th, Toronto, Canada on the 28th and 29th, Taipei, Taiwan on July 20, Manila, Philippines on August 3, and Hong Kong on the 10th.

ITZY, the Natural Performance Master, continues to rise globally with their new world tour, which expanded its scale.
