The fourth-generation leading girl group, Aespa, has once again tasted the joy of being number one.
Aespa has taken the top spot on the weekly fandom chart of the K-POP RADAR, a chart show dedicated to K-pop that is broadcast across the United States.
In the chart released this week, Aespa secured the number one position with their new song “Supernova.”
The music video for Aespa’s “Supernova” recorded 27.92 million views during the K-POP RADAR aggregation period for the third week of May (May 9, 2024 – May 15, 2024). Moreover, they also showed impressive results by recording an increase of 82,000 Spotify followers, far surpassing the K-pop average of 1,900 followers.
According to K-POP RADAR, Aespa’s Instagram followers increased by a whopping 63,000 in just one week, and their X followers also increased by about 15,000, exhibiting a high growth rate. During the same period, the average increase for K-pop artists’ Instagram followers was 3,600, and for X followers, it was 286, highlighting Aespa’s overwhelming popularity.
In response, K-POP RADAR said, “Aespa showed tremendous popularity by securing the top spot as soon as they made their comeback,” and “We are looking forward to seeing what records they will continue to break with their first full album.”
In this week’s K-POP RADAR weekly fandom chart TOP 10, the top 10 included Stray Kids with “Lose My Breath” featuring Charlie Puth at number two, SEVENTEEN’s “LALALI” at number three, and ENHYPEN’s “Fatal Trouble” entering at number four.
